Well, the Big Day has passed for another year. It will soon be time to Pay the Piper--your credit card. It is  very easy to run up a debt with these small pieces of plastic. Many of us will have gone away past the debt safety point and plunged into a debt that can increase in leaps and bounds if it is not paid off when due. With the exorbitant interest rates that can be applied to credit card debt balances, it can be nearly impossible to escape back to a clean balance sheet.
Just do your best to pay it off as quickly as possible.

This is not to say that credit cards should be banished. They can be extremely useful. I know of at least two small business that charge all expenses to a card, but pay it off immediately when it comes due. One of the difficulties with credit cards is they make buying so effortless.
